OEM & private label
Your label on the product, your specification inside it.
Most of what leaves our factory carries someone else's brand. This page sets out exactly what you can change, what each change does to your unit cost and lead time, and where the limits are — so you can brief us once instead of negotiating over five emails.
What you control
Six things you can change on any model.
Everything below applies to standard range models. Anything outside this list means new tooling, which we do not take on — we will say so on the first call rather than after a deposit.
| What changes | What it means | Effect on minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Cover fabric and colour | Made to your swatch. We will send the nearest standard option first so you are not sampling blind. | Custom colour starts at 30 pcs per colour |
| Seat count and dimensions | Width, depth, seat height and backrest angle are all adjustable within the core geometry of each model. | No tooling cost on existing core shapes |
| Firmness | Foam density and the ratio of foam core to EPP beads set how firm the seat feels. This is the single biggest lever on how the product reads in your market. | Quoted per order · no minimum change |
| Branding on the product | Woven label, care label, hangtag and zipper pull. | Included from 30 pcs |
| Packaging | Carton print, poly bag, insert card, instruction sheet, and retail-ready outer packaging if you sell through stores. | Carton plate cost applies on the first run only |
| Pallet and loading format | Loose cartons, palletised, or a floor-loaded container — matched to your destination warehouse and unloading equipment. | No minimum change |
Fabric range
Start from our card, or send us your own swatch.
These are the 16 upholstery series we hold across the standard range. The fastest way to shortlist is to pick two or three and ask for them in the quotation — we send the nearest physical swatches with the price so you are not approving colour off a screen.
If you already have a swatch of your own, post it to us instead. We will come back with the closest match in the range, or say plainly if nothing matches.
The card shows the fabric, not the finished sofa. Screens render colour differently from each other — approve against the physical swatch before bulk.
Cost drivers
What actually moves your unit price
Buyers usually ask for a price before they have decided the specification. The six inputs below decide most of it — settle them and the quotation stops moving.
| Input | How it affects the price |
|---|---|
| Fabric | The largest single input. A premium velvet can cost several times an oxford weave on the same sofa, and it changes the carton weight. |
| Foam density | Density is billed by weight. A firmer, denser core raises unit price and raises gross weight, which can push you toward a weight cap rather than a volume cap on loading. |
| Seat size | Cost scales roughly with foam volume, so a three-seater is not simply 1.5× a two-seater. |
| Packaging complexity | Retail-ready packing with inserts and printed outer cartons adds cost per unit and, more importantly, adds carton CBM. |
| Order quantity | Almost every line item drops with quantity. This is why a first order is priced differently from a repeat order, and why we quote per order rather than from a list. |
| Payment and shipping terms | FOB, CIF and DDP carry different risk and cash-flow costs. Tell us which you actually need rather than which one simply quotes lowest. |
